Workplace Health

This section contains resources and services to help promote and maintain both physical and psychological health in the workplace;

From a workplace perspective, health is influenced by two major forces: what staff members bring with them into the workplace (i.e. personal resources, health practices, beliefs and attitudes) and the impact of the workplace on staff members (i.e. the organization of work, clear expectations, effective communication, leadership support, recognition, etc).

Workplace resources and programs are designed to assist leaders and work teams looking to create a healthier work and learning environment. This section also includes recent research on workplace health (such as Psychologically Safe Workplaces), information on services for staff members dealing with workplace issues, or looking for advice in preparing for a career transition.

Resources include, but are not limited to: education and general awareness sessions, customized departmental programs and consultation, supervisory coaching and development, and critical incident stress management.
