Recruitment and Advertising
Recruitment at the University of Alberta is decentralized which means that each individual faculty, department and unit is responsible for their own recruitment processes.
Recruitment Services is responsible for providing expert consultation, advice and assistance on recruitment practices in support of the University's overall employment strategies, and transfers knowledge to the campus community through formal and informal training sessions and one-on-one consultation.
Some of our responsibilities include:
- Reviewing all Academic and Support postings prior to being published on the U of A Careers site.
- Assisting with any external advertising of postings.
- Assisting with administering Canada Summer Jobs.
- Administering the recall list which assists with the redeployment of laid off staff.
