Employment Equity

The Employment Equity Program supports the University of Alberta in meeting its commitment to fairness and merit in hiring and retention practices to achieve a diverse, respectful and inclusive working, teaching and research environment.

There are a number of employment equity-related learning opportunities available to University faculty and staff:  Introductory sessions on Human Rights and Employment Equity Considerations in Recruitment are offered periodically throughout the year; individuals, groups, or members of selection committees may contact the Employment Equity Advisor to arrange for individual coaching and advice; and, there is the opportunity to participate in Work Exposure Programs
